The rooms are sleek and spacious, and the amenities will make your stay that much better. Luxury

How to Get Around Waco
Getting around Waco is straightforward, with some convenient options depending on your travel style.
Renting a car is the best way to explore Waco at your own pace. You can easily rent a car from the Waco Regional Airport or in the city.
Waco Transit System operates bus routes across the city, making it an affordable option for getting around without a car.
Waco is also bike-friendly, especially around downtown and the Baylor University area. Rent a bike and enjoy the scenic paths.
Finally, Uber and Lyft are also available. These rideshare companies offer a hassle-free way to get around town, especially if you plan to enjoy places further out than downtown.
1. Browse Magnolia Market at the Silos
One of the first things to do in Waco, TX, that’s certainly a must is the Magnolia Market at the Silos.
The market and its signature silos take up two city blocks in the downtown area.
This spot is famous, thanks to Chip and Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper.
As a shopping complex, you’ll find plenty to do on your visit.
Filled with shops, a garden, and food trucks, you can spend hours here browsing the market for home goods and food.
Also, you can simply enjoy the laid-back vibe.
2. Stay at Live Oak Lake
Live Oak Lake is a hidden gem near Waco that offers a unique blend of luxury and nature.

3. Go Horseback Riding at Brazos Bluffs Ranch
If you like the outdoors and are a fan of horses, then I know you’ll love visiting Brazos Bluffs Ranch to go horse riding.
You’ll find the ranch just outside of Waco, and getting there is a breeze with all the scenic rides along the Brazos River.
It’s a super zen way to connect with nature and the beautiful Texas landscape.
When you arrive at the ranch, you can choose between a sunset ride or a 90-minute horseback journey — anyone of any experience level can join in.

4. Relax at Waco Suspension Bridge & Riverwalk
The Waco Suspension Bridge is a historical landmark perfect for a relaxing stroll.
This single-span bridge was completed in 1870 and was one of the longest suspension bridges west of Mississippi at the time.
Walking across it, you’ll get great views of the Brazos River and the surrounding area.
Nearby the bridge is more Waco activities, like the peaceful Riverwalk.
With seven miles of scenic pathways along the river, it’s a fantastic place to unwind.
Go walking along the loop and enjoy sights like Baylor University and the Brazos River Corridor.
5. Explore Cameron Park
Another fun thing in Waco to do is visit Cameron Park. It’s one of the largest municipal parks in Texas and full of fun things to do in Waco.
You can hike the trails, relax and enjoy the scenery, or have a picnic.
The park has 26 miles of trails, which range from casual walks to more challenging treks.
There are also plenty of spots to sit and enjoy nature, including some great overlooks with views of the Brazos River.

6. Grab a Coffee at Common Grounds Coffee Shop
Common Grounds Coffee Shop is a lovely spot for college students, visitors, and locals of all ages.
With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, rustic decor, and an extensive drink menu, you’ll definitely want to visit.
The welcoming venue also hosts live music shows and offers catering for drinks.
Located near Baylor University, it has a cozy vibe that makes it the perfect place to relax with coffee.
The shop is known for its cute, artsy vibe and unique drinks.
It offers choices like The Cowboy Coffee and The Rodeo Clown, as well as house specialties like Mocha Mint Madness and Hotel California.
7. Enjoy Your Weekend at Waco Downtown Farmers Market
Maybe you’re looking for things to do in Waco this weekend. If that’s the case, you don’t want to miss the Waco Downtown Farmers Market.
The farmers market is open only on Saturdays and is well-loved by the locals.
The market opened in 2011 and sells a variety of produce and foods.
You should get there early in the morning to have your pick of fresh vegetables and fruits.
Then, head to the food trucks for freshly baked donuts and Mexican treats like tacos and quesadillas.
8. Shop at the Spice Village
Open since 1997, Spice Village is a wonderful shopping destination featuring over 40 clothing and decor boutiques all under one roof.
You’ll find Spice Village near the Waco River Walk on Franklin Avenue.
The warehouse is the perfect spot for shopping, dining, and enjoying the hard work of creatives and entrepreneurs honing their craft.
You’ll find everything from clothing to jewelry to home decor and gifts.

9. Have a Drink at Balcones Distilling
Balcones Distilling is an award-winning whiskey distillery that creates spirits ranging from Texas bourbon to single malt whiskey and Texas rye.
Its website lets you order its whiskeys online year-round.
However, there is plenty to do when visiting the distillery in Waco.
For example, there are tours of the distillery. You get to learn how the Balcones distillery process works.
Afterward, you get to enjoy a whiskey tasting.
10. Get Cozy in the Fabled Bookshop & Café
Next up is the cozy Fabled Bookshop & Café. This independent bookstore in downtown Waco offers a wide selection of books, from bestsellers to unknown gems.
The shop is beautifully designed, with comfy reading nooks and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
There’s also a café inside where you can enjoy a coffee or tea while you browse.
Choose from a wide selection of snacks, food, and even wine and beer.
Enjoy milk-bottle cookies in four different flavors, including Snickerdoodle, Funfetti, Chocolate Chip, and Cookies ‘n Cream.
As for drinks, there’s Turkish Delight cold brew, a Hunny Pot Latte inspired by Winnie the Pooh, and a raspberry cordial, all worth trying!
11. Discover the Waco Mammoth National Monument
Step back in time with a visit to the Waco Mammoth National Monument.
Enjoy a calm day out learning about this national monument and the history of its discovery in the late 70s.
There, you’ll be able to see the remains of Columbian mammoths from thousands of years ago.
You won’t need a reservation to see these fossils, and you’re welcome to take self-guided tours.
But, there are guided tours available daily. During these tours, you’ll learn about the Ice Age, how these fossils were discovered, and why they’re super important paleontological sites.
12. Stroll Through Carleen Bright Arboretum
The last activity on my list is visiting the Carleen Bright Arboretum. The space extends over 16 acres, with almost half of it developed as lovely botanical gardens.
There’s plenty to see here, from the Massey Meditation Grove to a butterfly waystation and trails like the Todd Willis Nature Trail that you can hike and bike on.
You can also see a cactus garden, a herb garden, and pretty roses in the area.
When you visit, take a walk, enjoy the scenery, and relax in this zen arboretum.
